Clinical OPCEXTRA STRENGTH
French Grape Seed Extract features powerful health-promoting nutrients called oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) that support a wide range of health needs.
Clinical OPC EXTRA STRENGTH delivers 400 mg of VX1, a unique French Grape Seed Extract. It’s standardized for only small sized OPCs to better ensure absorption. Large OPCs (tannins) in grape seed extract cannot be absorbed.
VX1 offers the clinically recognized level of OPCs for consistent, life-enhancing benefits.

Clinical OPC EXTRA STRENGTH contains only low molecular weight, tannin-free OPCs for high absorbability.
Many other grape seed extracts include high levels of tannins—OPCs with a high molecular weight—providing zero absorption with few health benefits.

Why is being tannin-free so important?
Tannins are a form of proanthocyanidin (another OPC) found in grape seeds, stems, and skin. As a result, they are found in many grape seed extracts. However, they have a high molecular weight, which makes them very difficult for the body to absorb, and in any case, they don’t provide strong health benefits. Clinical OPC EXTRA STRENGTH provides only low-molecular weight OPCs, including a complex mixture of flavanolic monomers (catechin, epicatechin, epicatechin gallate) and flavanolic oligomers (dimers, trimers and tetramers).
What does ORAC value mean, and why is it important?
ORAC, or oxygen radical absorption capacity, is the measurement of the free-radical fighting strength of an antioxidant. The higher the ORAC value, the more ability it has to reduce oxidative damage to the cells.
